The GX-1S bears many similarities to the Pentax K100D, except that it does not include image stabilization. While this camera is slightly less expensive than the K100D, I think that the Pentax is a better deal, since it includes all of the features of the GX-1S, is compatible with all Pentax lenses and includes the built-in image stabilization.

The Pentax equivalent camera for the GX-10 is the K10D. Both cameras include 10.2 megapixel sensors, dust control and built-in image stabilization. The GX-10 is also weather sealed against dirt and water and it stores photos on SD memory cards. A note on price: despite similar features, the Pentax K10D costs about $100 less.
